World Be Free!

World Be Free, born Brian Freeland Jr., is more than a man on a microphone spitting metaphors. Nevertheless, he represents a revolution in not only music, but also the culture of hip hop. After graduating from Howard University in 2007 with both his Masters in Education and B.A in Communications, the World brought his energies back to his hometown in Upstate, New York to foster his independent label appropriately named Upstate Alumni but more often pronounced as USA. When asked what he brings to the rap game, World refers to himself as, “all four elements…the yin and the yang…universatile…” His consistency to deliver new concepts and rhyme patterns on each track keeps the audience in suspense as you never know what to expect from the World; except for the fact that every song is guaranteed to satisfy the ears of music lovers in desparate need of real, raw and rare hip hop.
